A Guided Silent Retreat

A Guided Silent Retreat – February 17-18, 2012

Are you at a place in your spiritual journey that a weekend retreat in silence intrigues you? The Holy Cross Abbey, a Trappist Monastery in Berryville, Virginia offers such an opportunity. Their retreat house can house up to 15 guests, each with a private bedroom and bathroom and guests are provided three meals a day. All guests are welcome to attend the five services of the monastic day and to use the gift silence to be still, and to rest in God’s presence.

If this kind of retreat intrigues you, please be in touch with Dawn Peck, 463-5161 or dhpeck@hotmail.com. She will tell you more about the plans to go as a group and meet together once each day for discussion, questions or sharing. The guest house fills up quickly for weekend retreats, so that reservations will have to be made by the first week in October to assure a place in February. Dawn has gone to the abbey yearly for more than a decade and looks forward to sharing this prayerful experience with others.
