KingsFest!

Well the details of the youth 2012 KingsFest trip are now here!

After making it to the hotel on Friday, we immediately turned around and drove off to Kings Dominion. We parted ways after riding the DOMINATOR, and after becoming Ride Warriors, met back up at the concert. We walked around and listened to some music, but the longing for roller coasters arose and we left to ride them once again.

We left the park after surviving an iPhone miracle (Kaelan  had lost hers but it had been turned in and was saved), we retired back to the pool. We played Stars and Chicken, and when we were all exhausted, we went to our rooms- and just in time. It then began to rain.

The next morning we ate breakfast and headed off the the park. It was water park day! We had a few hours to ride our favorite roller coasters before the water park opened, which would be The INTIMIDATOR, FLIGHT OF FEAR, and the ANACONDA. Others went on different rides, and finally the water park opened! My group hit all of the tubes slides, including the famous TORNADO. Then we all decided to take a dip in the lazy river and wave pools.

After we ate dinner, we rushed to the theater where Owl City was performing. They had made about halfway through their concert when it started to rain. And rain and rain and rain.

The storm was very loud and very long. Luckily, we were huddled in a few pavilions. We entertained ourselves with dances, games, and electronics during the thunder, lightning, rain, and hail.

Two hours later, and the storm had finally stopped. Everyone was slowly leaving the pavilion when the loudspeaker turned on and announced that tobyMac would be performing. We all rushed to our seats, and watched tobyMac perform under the fireworks and lightning flashing behind us.

We finally left the park around eleven thirty and left the next morning. Thank you, Courtney!!!!
