September is National Hunger Action month, so Outreach named The Society of St. Andrew (SoSA) as the benefactor of this month’s Communion/Outreach offering.
During the first 7 months of 2014, SoSA recruited more than 13,000 volunteers to work 2,364 gleaning type events and saved more than 14 million pounds of food—food that feeds our nation’s hungry.
Your contributions go far!
Don’t forget about Trinity’s own Gleaning event on September 20th. We will meet at the church at 8 a.m. to head to Bedford to glean from the apple orchards. All gleaned apples will feed the hungry in Rockbridge County.
