Classes leading to confirmation will be held each Sunday from February 26 through March 25 (five Sundays). Instruction will end with an overnight retreat Friday evening-Saturday morning, March 30-31 (place to be determined).

Confirmation Sunday will be Palm Sunday, April 1. Youth 11 and older are invited to consult with their parent or parents and register by Sunday, Feb. 5 (we need a quick head count in order to purchase materials). Register by calling the church office or contacting Sunday school superintendent Courtney Diette.

Confirmation leads to full confessing (adult) membership in the church for those baptized. Youth who have not been baptized can be baptized and confirmed the same Sunday.

FOOD FOR RARA: In light of the reduced funds and groceries available to RARA, the UMW Board asks that our members bring a food item or items to their Circle meetings each month as well as to the Unit meetings. The food could be the suggested one each month or most any item is appreciated. Since RARA receives peanut butter from another source, jelly is always needed. Thank you for helping the people of Lexington and Rockbridge County.

Our UMW motto is faith, hope and love in action. Our mission is to help those in need locally, nationally and internationally.

How is it possible to make informed decisions as Christians and as citizens without good information?
Solution: Monthly Brown Bag Lecture Series
When? The first Tuesday of each month.
Where? The Trinity UMC fellowship hall.
Time? 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m.

We have a wealth of talent among our membership at Trinity UMC. We have teachers and professors, engineers, business leaders, veterans, medical professionals, social workers, writers—the list is long. We’re going to start asking these people to share what they know.

Whenever Thanksgiving rolls around, we talk about thanking God and being grateful. But for what? Well, everything, right? True, but sometimes it’s hard to get the thanking pump primed. This video helps. Rather than simply think up thankful thoughts, we can go directly to Scripture–the source of revelation of God.

Here, we find promise, after promise, after promise from God. These promises and assurances can provide fodder for our thanksgiving to God. They can inform our intentional gratitude and praise.

This video will give you the Scriptural basis and encouragement you need to thank God for who He is and what He has done.

There’s no question about it. A lot of us live in a stressed-out, worried-sick, way-too-busy, rat-race kind of life. We’ve got more anxieties, worries, weights, and concerns than we know what to do with. In the Bible, we read God’s way of dealing with the weight of the world.

We read a passage that can totally change the way we view these pressures and concerns. This sermon video provides you with a tool for exploring this passage, and finding out what you can do if you feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world.
