Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
You may be planning a visit to Lexington and want to find a place of worship during your stay. You may be preparing for a permanent move to our city or Rockbridge County and want to learn more about the United Methodist Church serving the city. Or you may be a member who wants to check up on church activities.
Please look around! You’ll see that we have a rich history in a locality rich in American history (Gen. “Stonewall” Jackson’s grave is a block away). You may notice a photo or two that includes uniformed cadets from Virginia Military Institute. We have a focused ministry, “Crossroads College Ministry,” that serves the students of Washington & Lee University and VMI.
If you visit us, you can choose between a 9 a.m. informal worship service or an 11 a.m. traditional service. We celebrate Holy Communion the first Sunday of each month. We have Sunday school classes for all ages, including three different adult classes.
Want to get involved? Trinity members are leaders in our local food pantry, go gleaning in the nearby hills for delicious apples to feed the hungry, provide an annual “Kids’ Closet” where inexpensive children’s clothing can be purchased, participate in Habitat for Humanity housing projects, and travel with teams from others churches to assist victims of natural disasters.
We’re a growing church blessed with strength in all age groups. Statistically, we’d be classified a middle-size congregation, averaging between 150-200 at our Sunday services. We want folks to get to know each other, however, and offer a home church ministry of small groups that meet in members’ homes.
I’d love to welcome you on your visit. I’d also be honored to provide you with any additional information you may need. My personal e-mail address is normt50@me.com.
May God bless you!
Norman Tippens, Senior Pastor

The United Methodist Church is a part of the universal church, as we confess in the Apostle's Creed. In the church, Jesus Christ is proclaimed and professed as Lord and Savior. All people may attend worship services, participate in programs, receive the sacraments and become members.
